For the quarter ended Nov. 30 the Redwood City Calif. -based business-software giant reported net income of $1. 296 billion or 25 cents a share downfrom $1. 303 billion also 25 cents a share a year earlier. The stronger dollarcut 4 cents a share from the latest quarter’s per-share earnings. Excluding stock-based compensation restructuring and acquisition-relatedcosts earnings rose 9% to 34 cents a share.

That was apparently the result of an incomplete update getting seeded into the Software Update process and Mac S X will freak out if it tries to install a partially downloaded update. Apple recommends that if you encounter this problem or have already that you force Software Update to quit remove the partial update from your library and re-download the update.

East Coast has implemented its EmpCenter(R) solution including Time and Attendance Accruals and Absence Manager Attendance Point Tracking and Alert Manager Employee Self-Service and Activity Based Costing. “The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requires our employees to verify daily the contract jobs they worked on” said CI Craig Honour of Atlantic Marine. “This was a mandatory requirement in our search for workforce management software and WorkForce Software’s EmpCenter fit our needs.
