"With the recent completion of both ‘Wolverine’ based on the summer blockbuster movie and ‘Wolfenstein’ the next chapter of the famed franchise Raven Software is slightly reducing its work force to better reflect the studio’s upcoming slate" said Brian Raffel studio head at Raven Software. Raffel and his brother Steve co-founded the company in 1990. In the mid-1990s Activision acquired Raven and has since become the largest distributor of video games. "It’s been a very busy year and we got a lot done" Raffel added "but now unfortunately we’ve got to reduce our size.
Revised focus on software brings new name for Persystent

To help refocus its branding efforts on software packages being offered by the Tampa developer the company will now be known as Persystent Software. The new branding effort has been developed by PeakBiety Branding + Advertising which includes a “refreshed” logo and the new slogan of “damage controlled” to emphasize one of the key benefits of the company’s software according to a release. Persystent is looking to increase its marketing of its Solo product which can restore degraded operating systems of a computer and return it to work-ready status whether it’s working on a network or not. It is also designed to protect against computer viruses malware and other unauthorized programs. Persystent signed a deal with the U.
CertiClear creates stimulus software

us Digg This CertiClear LLC has developed software that aims at helping recipients of federal stimulus money meet specific reporting requirements placed on them by the government. Stimulus recipients must report quarterly financial activity project status and job creation from the awards — including job creation for subcontractors and vendors hired for a project. The first round of reports are due by ct. 10 and must include information dating back to the program’s inception in February. The Bethesda-based technology company said it created the software known as CertiClear 1512 because FederalReporting.
